
Welcome to the History of ABIC
Air Base Inter College, Mushaf Sargodha was initially a
missionary Primary School in 1960s. Subsequently, in 1967, it was taken over
by the PAF and elevated to Secondary School level. Afterwards, in 1977 it was
upgraded to an Intermediate College for science classes (pre-medical ;
pre-engineering). The institution was engaged keeping in view the vision of
improving educational facilities in the areas adjoining PAF establishment.
Apart from imparting education of a high standard on modern lines, its aim is
to drill in discipline and sound moral values amongst its students. It provides
them an opportunity to express and develop their creative talents. Equal
emphasis is laid on physical fitness, cultural activities and sports as well as
cultivation of good habits and development of qualities of leadership. At
present ABIC has three distinctive divisions, Junior Section (from Prep to
Class V), Senior Section (from Class VI to Class X), College Section (XI to XII,
with Pre- Medical, Pre Engineering ; ICS Classes).
Subjects Offered
The college prepares students for the secondary
school and intermediate examinations conducted by the Federal Board of
Intermediate and Secondary Education, Matriculation (Science with Biology and
Mathematics) ; F.Sc (with pre-medical ; pre-engineering and ICS
Computer Studies) whereas English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, are
compulsory at each level.
